If you are 25 years or older, you must meet ALL of the following criteria:

• Currently hold a driver license with a “B” restriction for “licensed operator in the front seat”

• Complete the Impact Texas Young/Adult Driver education program within the past 90 days.  You will need to provide a copy of your certificate.

• Complete a DL or ID Application for Adult (form DL-14a).  A notary is not needed, as the Department employee serves as the notary for this application.

• Have a check or money order for $10 payable to the Texas Department of Public Safety.  Include your license number and name to ensure proper credit.
